I can't believe it's been two weeks...YES TWO WEEKS...since I have blogged! Trust me, we have had plenty going on to blog and update about... BBQ's, boating, friends, family, cheerleading, more boating, fireworks, more friends, more family and more BBQ'n', but I just have not had the time to sit down and do it!
And this is where Jeremiah would butt in and tell you that I have really had my nose in books for the past week and a half, every free minute I got!
Yes...while the date of Eclipse was fast approaching, I had to re-read the whole book...and after the awesome movie (my favorite so far!)...I just needed to start Breaking Dawn...and all I can say is "Holy Cow Batman!"...I finished it in a day and a half!!
Okay, okay enough about the Twilight Saga (there is the latest book I need to get about Bree!)...okay really though...these past two weeks have been really fun...and I guess that's the reason I didn't even notice it had been two weeks!
Quick updates...
Today, Jeremiah left to LA for a couple of days to *finally* demobilize...and will be back to work next week!!! He is not the only one excited about this...he's been driving me a little looney being around the house every. single. day! Although, I must say...he has done a few more minor adjustments to the yard (added some plants)...And with a little teamwork, and many thanks to the makers of our boat...we figured out how to get it to fit in the garage, without having to take on the task of adding on a 4th car (or boat) garage!
Swim Deck Off & Put Up Front...Tower Folded Down...With An Inch To Spare On Both Sides Of The Fender!
With Summer in full swing (yes I'm bitter about not ever getting real Spring weather!) we have been spending every chance we get out on the boat! Jeremiah has been perfecting his jumping skills on the wakeboard...getting better and better...and had recently purchased a wakeskate & wakesurf board! This weekend was the first time out with them...and boy was it funny to watch what a difference they all are!
Definition of Wakeskate from Google:
Wakeskating is a water sport and an adaptation of wakeboarding that employs a similar design of board manufactured from maple or from fiberglass. Unlike wakeboarding, the rider is not bound to the board in any way, which gives the sport its own unique challenges.
And I Give You Jeremiah...Trying To Jump On The Wakeskate...Remember...No Bindings!
Definition of Wakesurf from Google:
Wakesurfing (similar to but not the same sport as wakeboarding) is a water sport in which a surfer trails behind an inboard ski boat, surfing the boat's wake without being directly attached to the boat. The wake from the boat mimics the look and feel of an actual ocean wave.
And as funny as that was...it was kind of cool to watch him on the wakesurf!
Heck...I even got the hang of the wakeboard! Earlier last week we went out...all I can say is...I ate it *hard*! Took a full on face plant in the water...and the next day...I couldn't move my neck! I swore I pulled every muscle there was! But thanks to the guidance of my best friend, Melissa...I got the hang of it, again! Oh and on a side note...it *has* been about 3 years since I've been out...yes...before Miss Kayleigh Marie!
And speaking of Kayleigh, she is growing so much, it's hard to believe she is really almost 2 1/2...what happened to my sweet little baby?!
Oh yeah that's right...I just said...she's almost 2 1/2! And yes she comes complete with all the wonderful things that every other two year old comes with! The testing of her own independence...and trust me she *always* wants to do it herself! The tantrums...oh God the tantrums...and people tell us it only gets worse when they are three...I pray they are not right...I just might check myself in as 51-50!!! Oh and we can't forget the days when we wished she could just talk instead of cry all the time...well now...she never stops talking, and I *don't* know who she got that from! But for all the trying times we have to go through...there are a million more joyful times! She really is just a great kid...and I enjoy being her mommy!
And I know I said I was going to post every Friday to let you know how I was doing in my 120 Mile Challenge...and yes...I have been slacking! SORRY!!! But I am thinking I need to make a post Thursday night and set it to post Friday...because honestly, Friday is my day to prepare for the weekend...and it seems to totally slip my mind to even post sometimes...obviously! But all in all, I am doing *wonderful*! I went above and beyond the 40 miles I would have needed to do by the end of the month to keep on track, and ended up at 66! That may not seem like a lot of miles to seasoned runners/joggers/walkers...but to me...the girl who *never* liked to run/jog/and yes sometimes walk...it is a lot! And I have seen some pretty positive changes too!!! Am I anywhere near where I want to be?! No! But that's not going to stop me from continuing with the next 80 miles...and to top it all off...I am starting Kickboxing classes tomorrow!!!
My best friend from high school, Melissa, moved home from LA, and we decided we are not only going to start doing kickboxing together...but we are going to train for a 1/2 marathon!
Back in 2003...Senior Year!
Oh boy, what did I get myself into?! Hahaha...as if my life wasn't already crazy enough...I am now going to be a wife, mom, cheer coach, kick-boxer and be training for a 1/2 marathon?! At least it will help get my miles in for the challenge! I think I can do it...and when people doubt me...it just makes me want to push myself that much harder to show them that they were wrong! And the major bonus to it...I prove to myself that I can do it too!!
I promise to update with the
