"Why?!"

That seems to be Kayleigh's favorite thing to ask now-a-days!

I didn't think that kids went through the "why?" stage until they got a little older...at least I was hoping!

Jeremiah and I will sit back and laugh when she is asking "why?" to everyone else...and listening to their response...but when it comes to her asking us...our response after about five "why's?" is "SHUT UP!" "I don't know...you tell me why!" lol!

Well as I was cleaning the house the other day...I threw the bathroom rugs into the wash all together...like I have every week for the past 2 years! But this time...something happened! And I immediately ran to Jeremiah and asked "WHY?!" lol...I couldn't help it!

The Now Black Rug...With The Old Matching Brown Hand Towel!

Why in the world would a rug that was brown turn black?!

Jeremiah looks at me...starts laughing...and says "are you sure that it's not one of your black ones?"

COME ON!!!!

I may be a little blonde on the brain sometimes...but I definitely put two black rugs and one brown rug into the wash...and came out with three black rugs! And I tell you...I have been washing these three rugs together every week when I clean the bathrooms for the past two years...and that brown rug has never even changed to a darker shade!

So it's still a mystery here in the Hamon house why my brown rug has turned to the dark side and become a black rug...and for now...it has found a new home in our master bathroom in front of the tub (I've been saying I need a rug there for two years, so maybe that's Gods way of saying he's sick of hearing it lol!). But now I at least have an excuse to go buy a new brown rug!

In other news...

I do realize that I didn't post on Friday to update on my 120 mile challenge and my weight loss struggle success (I will this Friday...promise!), but we were watching Miss Darci Bear...and boy is she a handful!! Jeremiah and I both forgot how much work a one year old is...because they don't have that independence (even if they want it) that they gain over time! Kayleigh enjoyed being a big sister for the day, although bummed that Addison left with her momma...she got to finger paint with Darci...and showed her a good time in her pool! Of course, Darci didn't know what to think of Jeremiah...he's a scary man lol! But when we showed up to Darci's birthday party the next day...she remembered what a good big sister Kayleigh was the day before...and attacked greeted her with big hugs!

Jeremiah has joined the sheriff department's competitive softball team, and had a tournament in Tahoe this past weekend! They played seven games in two day...and he was dead tired...and sore! There were teams (all law enforcement) from all over the United States...26 teams in all! EDSO took 5th overall! Way to go boys!

Yesterday we spent a day on the boat with the Woods family and Steve...I swear it never gets old...and with this heatwave we are having (102* here...why?! lol!)...the water is just what we all needed!!

OMG, that is CRAZY about your rug Krystal. But at least you gave it a new home, and get to shop for a new brown one!

I am so not looking forward to the "why?" stage with Riley. He is just starting the getting into everything stage, and broke something yesterday. Little turd.

Oh, and your boat trips look so cool and refreshing. Yeah, seriously jealous here. :)

LOL right?! That brown hand towel was in the wash too...along with a black hand towel...and it stayed brown...crazy I tell ya! I remember those days and miss them...although I DO love the independence Kayleigh has now...it's sad how fast she is growing up!!!
