Spring Has Sprung!

So here we are already in May...and FINALLY the weather doesn't feel like winter anymore! We started this spring with our first holiday of the year without daddy. Jeremiah was attending a Security Reaction Force Advanced training in Florida for two weeks, and missed out on the festivities. And of course I had to take Kayleigh to see the Easter Bunny...I have since her first Easter (2 mos old)! She did pretty good, and talked about how he gave her a sucker for the rest of the day! We even decorated eggs together...and she made a special one for her best friend, Addison!





We have been actively working on our yard...and the day after we planted all of our beautiful flowers and spread the grass seed...it snowed at least 3 inches! I swore for the longest time we were just not meant to have grass!!



But it HAS started to grow, although patchy, and we just might have a lawn to enjoy this summer!

The highlight of spring so far has been our most recent family getaway with some super awesome friends of ours, the Woods family! We took a little trip to Monterey...and it was BEAUTIFUL! Although it was only a two day trip, we had a blast, and enjoyed every minute of it! The girls (Kayleigh & Addison) had a blast running on the beach with their daddy's and splashing in the water! They played in the sand, and dug holes that they could both fit in! 







The second day we were in Monterey, we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Watching the girls enjoy the "fishies", "star fishies" and so much more was awesome! I think one of their favorite parts was the tide pool! The girls got to touch different species found in the tide pools as well as "learn" about them!
