And So It Begins!

I have decided to start a blog for family and friends across the miles! It seems to be the new way to keep everyone up to date with all of the latest!! And so here it is...the past six years to help everyone get all caught up! Enjoy reading, and I can't wait to share SO much more about our crazy busy life as a family!!

After meeting again in 2004, Jeremiah and I started dating which quickly turned into love! We were married on April 29, 2006 and enjoyed our life together, although sometimes somewhat complicated…thanks to the military! I really can't get over how quickly the time flies when you aren't counting down days, but instead, just living. We found out early in 2007 that baby would make three and ended 2007 with Jeremiah getting out of active duty with the US Navy, and starting the Alameda County POST Academy, as well as getting ready for Miss Kayleigh Marie’s arrival…and we started 2008 with a new family and new life!

Kayleigh Marie Hamon was born on January 23, 2008 at 3:13am, weighing 6lbs 3ozs and was 21 inches long! I'm in utter disbelief that time seems to be slipping through the cracks on me…Kayleigh is already 2 years old! Yet in waiting, the months couldn't pass any more slowly, pregnancy lasted forever. It feels like just yesterday I arrived at my appointment only to find out I would be induced that very same day, and be holding the most amazing of Gods creations in a matter of hours. Now she is feeding herself, running all over the house, potty trained and starting preschool, and how amazing it has been to listen to her have a complete conversation with us...what’s next college? I am just amazed that this tiny little person Jeremiah and I created has come into herself. She has her own unique likes and dislikes, personality and future. She truly has been nothing but a sweet blessing and amazing addition to our family!

On June 25th 2008, Jeremiah successfully completed the POST Academy and graduated third in his class! He then started FTO (field training), and began working the LONGEST hours. It was a hard adjustment to make, but after six months, he was finally done with training! On December 13th 2008, he was FINALLY on his own…riding dirty as Kellie (another deputy's wife) would say! He enjoys his job, especially knowing he is the one in charge! On June12th 2009 Jeremiah and the four other deputies that graduated POST with him completed their 18 months of probation with El Dorado! We recently found out that Jeremiah’s unit will be reactivating (he is an active reservist with the US Navy) and deploying to Kuwait. I know that I can make it through a deployment; I have had to do it before. But this one is going to be a little more difficult with Kayleigh in the mix. She is a daddy’s girl…and I know she is going to miss him TONS!

In between the birth of Kayleigh and Jeremiah’s training, we bought/built our first house! It started out as a SPEC for my parents, but as the economy turned, they pulled it off the market and we bought it! It is so nice to know we own a home and can do whatever we want! We have recently finished our landscaping to make the 'curb appeal' a little nicer...or so we think…I swear it is never ending! Living in Pine Grove has it’s up and down’s though. It is nice to be so close to family and friends, but Jeremiah’s commute to work is about an hour each way.

(Just Days After Moving In)

I have been coaching cheerleading with a youth origination (Argonaut Jr. Mustangs) for the past 5 years, and this year I am the Cheer Coordinator…I get to run the whole thing!! As most people know, cheer is such a passion for me…and I truly enjoy seeing the girls grow each season! It’s awesome to think that I could be making a difference in a girls life. And yes I said it was ARGONAUT!! I get that I am a trader…that I am supposed to bleed blue forever, but the opportunity presented itself, and I was not going to let it pass by! Kayleigh has been going to practices and games with me every since she was in my belly! She loves the girls…and the girls love her! It’s so cool to see her actually trying now that she is getting older! She even helps mommy coach by “counting” the 8 counts for the girls!

So now that we are almost half way through 2010, I look back and see how much day by day our lives have changed, and how much we have grown. It's been difficult adjusting, especially with Jeremiah getting ready to deploy back overseas, his time seems to be completely taken and it's hard to find any time for myself anymore, but no one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it...and it has been!
