Bye Bye Baby Fat!

That’s right…I am finally saying goodbye to this stubborn baby fat!! As if I haven’t waited long enough…it’s been exactly 2 years 4 months 2 weeks and 5 days (yes I had to check the ticker at the bottom of our blog!) since little Miss Kayleigh Marie graced us with her presence…and although she is the best thing that has happened to me (besides Jeremiah)…this baby fat…is not the best thing that has ever happened to me! I used to be so athletic looking…and it’s crazy to think I used to think I was *fat* way back when…oh what I would do to have that body back….to be that healthy again! I want to look sexy for my husband, and I want to believe him when he tells me that I look beautiful! And to be honest with you…I didn’t think that it would be this hard to be back in my pre-baby body clothes…after all I did lose 30 pounds before I left the hospital! I was super excited…this was gonna be easier than I though…YEAH RIGHT!!! Then…slowly but surely…that weight packed back on! I don’t know if it was between the late night feedings and poopy diaper changes…or the being single mommy while Jeremiah was completing POST…FTO…and training in Tahoe…but I just never seemed to have enough time to take care of myself! Until that day…the day I was looking through the pictures my mom captured from Kayleigh’s 2nd birthday party…I am not saying that my little girl isn't worth the changes my body has endured...I am just saying WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?! 
This is where I want to be again...And to think...I thought I was fat then...
Since the day of realizing I needed to do *something* I have lost 22 pounds!!! If you read my post from last Friday or the one from the Friday before…you might remember that so far this year I had lost 18 pounds…and another ½ pound last week…but being my curious self…I weighed myself on the one week mark for our challenge…and I had lost 3.5 more pounds…that’s right in one week I lost 4 pounds!!! If that’s not encouragement enough to keep on truckin’ (or runnin’) I don’t know what is!!! I have been actively getting my miles in every day this week…with the exception of the weekend…but I am still having a hard time sticking to my Jillian Michaels meal plan….for one, I got a late start this week…and two, my appetite is *huge* now that I am working out…I feel like I am going to be the one to eat us out of house and home instead of Jeremiah!!! I mean I never could understand what he meant when he worked out for 4 hours and then ate 2 foot long Subway sandwiches…and said 15 minutes later “I’m hungry!”…WHAT THE WHAT?! How in the world could you be hungry?! But now…now I understand! My metabolism has been kicked into high gear!


Now that I have the “working out” part of my new lifestyle down…I need to get my whole head (or body) in the game…I am going to set some more goals for myself! I am going to make my meal plan for next week today…since I can plan a week ahead! I am going to get all the grocery shopping done…and know exactly what I am eating for every meal. Because to be honest with you…I will skip all meals and just snack if I don’t…I am learning how to make healthy decisions…and that’s helping more…but I also know that I need to eat at least 1200 calories as a woman to be healthy!! But that I need a 7000 calorie deficit if I want to lose at least 2 pounds a week…My other goal is to do a Jillian Michaels workout Monday-Friday followed by at least 2 miles…and then on Saturday’s & Sunday’s I will do just my 2 miles!!!  I love doing my 30 Day Shred…because it’s only 30 minutes…and man can Jillian make you burn some MAJOR calories in just 30 minutes! I need to mix it up though…and so I need to set a schedule for myself…with what DVD’s I will be doing on what day!
I look forward to letting you all know next Friday how my week went with my new goals...and maybe even more weight-loss!!! Because we all know that the faster I get to my goal…the sooner baby #2 will be here…although I hope this time I won’t let the baby fat hang on for over 2 years!!! I can't wait to be one of those people who proudly shows their before & after pictures...you know the ones with them holding their fat pants in front of them?! Yes...soon that will be me!!!

Hey Krystal!!! Your blog is sooo cute & you make me laugh. Way to go on your weight loss so far...I've only lost 5 lbs & I'm hoping that I will lose more with our 120 mile challenge. Keep pounding that pavement!!
