HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY DAD!!!
I do think it's safe to say that the summer fun and festivities are winding down. And as much as I am bummed about this, it also means that fall is here...and my house is ready...all the warm colors and smell of ginger pumpkin...ahhh yes fall is here!
(Even if it's been 100 degrees outside all week and totally doesn't feel like it is! LOL!)
So to catch up on the end of summer fun...
We have these friends...whom I have mentioned quite a bit in our blog...and they are Nathan and Chrystle, along with their two adorable little girls (Addison and Darci)...better known as 'The Woods Family'! Now the more we get to know them...the more our lives seem way too similar! Besides the fact that Chrystle and I have the same name...our husbands...it's like they are clones! They have the same stinking job (and love it!)...their mannerisms are identical...and not to mention...they look like they could be brothers!

And to just get to my point...Nathan and Jeremiah's birthday's are only 9 days apart...so to celebrate...we had a family day and took the girls to Fairytale Town! It was Kayleigh's first time...and she really enjoyed it! And of course I was super slacker and took my memory card out of my camera, and put it into the computer to make sure it was empty...and left it in there...SO...all of the following pictures are courtesy of my hero...Chrystle!

The weekend of September 11th was the Jr. Mustangs bye weekend...which means it was the only weekend I would be free until mid-November! So we took that opportunity, and planned our last camping and boating trip for the year!
This time we just went to Hogan Lake which is only about 45 minutes from our house. However, the lake level was so low it was ridiculous! I kept meaning to get a picture of the hike from our boat to the campsite...because it was the joke of the trip...we had to go "rock climbing" to get back up the hill!
BRAG ALERT!!!
Not only have I mastered how to ride my wakeboard inside the wake...I managed to work on getting outside of the wake...pretty awesome...until I decided I wanted to go back in...FACE-PLANT!!! But that's okay..I always have next summer!!! Oh and one more thing....I got up on the wakesurf!! I may not be as good as Jeremiah is yet...but I got up...and I used every. single. ounce. of strength I had in my arms to pull myself in...and let me just tell you...falling at 9.5mph is SOFT compared to 21mph!!!
Okay so even thought I didn't get any pictures of our rock climbing adventures...I did manage to get some others...and I am going to combine them with the ones that Chrystle took...so for your viewing pleasure...

It has been one to remember!! Just the beginning to MANY MANY wonderful memories!!! Now for some winter fun...snow this year baby!!
